Unfortunately, there is no easy way to import your contacts list from Webmail into your Gmail account. I've tried to make this as easy as possible, but it's still sort of annoying. I apologize.
Note: These instructions assume you are using Firefox. I don't have a copy of Internet Explorer to figure out how to do this, so you're on your own if you use IE
To begin, you need to load Webmail and go to your contacts page. Right click on the table that contains your contacts. From the context menu, select This Frame —> View Frame Source. In the window that results, there is a line that looks like "<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">" and below it a line that looks something like "var nick_array = new Array(9)" (the number in parentheses will be different). Select from the first line I mentioned until you come to a line that says "</script>". Copy this text and paste it into the text box below. Then, click "Create My File" and save the resulting file ("contacts.csv"):
Note: Copying this text incorrectly will result in an improper import of data into Gmail. Be very careful when copying and pasting this data.
Now that you've saved the contacts.csv to your hard drive, we can perform the easy part of this task. Open Gmail and, in the left side menu, select "Contacts". At the bottom of the Contacts section, click the link for "Import".
Click the "Browse" button and locate the contacts.csv file that we created above. Click "Import". There seems to be something wrong with the way Gmail imports CSV files, because it will tell you that there is an error, but if you click on your contacts list again, you will see that all of your contacts have been imported!
