The First Step: Making Gmail Your Mail Client

This first step is fairly simple, but you need to make sure that you already have your Gmail account working before you continue.

To start using Gmail as your mail client, for PSU Mail, you need to complete the form called Changing Your E-mail Forwarding Address from ITS. This form can also be accessed from www.work.psu.edu. You will be asked to log in to WebAccess, and then enter your new Gmail address in the field labelled "Forwarding Address". After clicking change, you should be all set!

Hint:To make sure it works, send an email to your PSU account from Gmail. If it arrives in your Inbox (it may take more than ten minutes, so be patient), you have successfully forwarded your PSU email account to Gmail!
